Spaghetti with Homemade Red Sauce
Cook: Whole wheat noodles
Red Sauce:
10 Garden fresh tomatoes, chopped (or tomatoes from the store)
1 Sweet Onion, diced
3 Fresh garlic cloves, smashed and diced
1 1/2 cups frozen chopped spinach
1 large can tomato paste
15 Garden fresh basil leaves, diced (or basil from store)
2 tbs Tuscan Herb Fustini's olive oil
1/2 tsp black pepper
2 cups water (more as need be)
Place all ingredients in a pot over stove and cook medium heat for 1 hour
1 cup Smoked Gouda cheese, chopped into small pieces
Place noodles in bowl, top with sauce, then cheese. Drizzle Fustini's Espresso Bean balsamic vinegar over the top and serve.
*Vinegar on spaghetti may sound odd.....but it adds such great rich depth of flavor!
